The International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) chose for the third time the Argentine sommelier Mariano Braga among the five most important wine communicators in the world, the only Spanish-speaking among those selected.
From Spain, the country in which he currently resides, Braga coordinates online courses and toast advice and advice to thousands of followers on his website, through his blog and his virtual wine guide “Argentine wines that I love”.
To a strong presence on social networks, it recently added “MeLoDijoBraga El Podcast”, which quickly managed to position itself among the most listened to gastronomy podcasts in Latin America.
The IWSC is a competition that held annually since 1969 in London and that brings together world leaders in the wine and spirits industry.
In addition to highlighting the best wines and spirits in the world, the meeting also highlights the industry’s communication leaders.
Braga, who currently resides in Marbella, had already been awarded on two previous occasions by the elite jury of the IWSC.
“It is a very important recognition for me personally, but I also consider that it extends to the communication of wine in Spanish. There are few times that these recognitions reach the Spanish-speaking market, so it is celebrated twice,” said Braga.
On this occasion, the IWSC judges were “impressed” by the new ways in which Braga communicates with wine lovers.
“Mariano has used his experience as a sommelier and restaurant owner to create innovative ways to educate and communicate with his audience”highlighted the Organizing Committee of the IWSC.
