The Argentine Republic “is an important partner for France in the Americas” and countries “need to work together in the context of the war in Ukraine and in the face of global problems”affirmed the chancellor of that country, Catherine Colonna, after a “fruitful” telephone conversation with the Argentine foreign minister, Santiago Cafiero.
Cafiero reported on Twitter that he had a “very good telephone conversation” with his French counterpart.
“We have a great bilateral agenda ahead of us. We will continue to work together to find common solutions to the global challenges that the current context poses to us,” he specified.

The foreign minister reproduced the official’s tweet, who in her message, accompanied by the flags of both countries, asserted that “Argentina is an important partner for France in the Americas.”
“We need to work together in the context of the war in Ukraine and in the face of global problems. I repeated this to my counterpart Santiago Cafiero. Thank you for that fruitful telephone conversation,” Colonna emphasized.
President Alberto Fernández will travel next November 11 and 12 to the Paris Forum for Peaceinvited by his French counterpart, Emmanuel Macron, who also invited him to share a meeting at the Elysée Palace.
Macron sent a letter to the Argentine head of state, in which he stated: “While the war in Ukraine puts our multilateral system to the test, exposes our interdependencies and weakens our energy, food and economic systems, we need more than ever to strengthen our framework of global governance around the values of unity and solidarity’.
“I would like you to be able to participate in the debates and political work of this fifth edition of the Forum, as invited by its president, Pascal Lamy”, he added.
Macron also told Fernández that “it would be an honor” to receive him at the Elysée Palace, seat of the French Government, on the occasion of a dinner on November 11, 2022.
