Two people died after a huge rock in the Capitólio canyon, in Minas Gerais, collapsed on tourist boats this morning (8). According to the Fire Department, at least 32 other people were injured.
Among the injured, nine were taken to hospitals in Piumhi, Passos and São João da Barra, some of them with open fractures. According to firefighters, at least three boats were hit, of which two sank.
The Navy supports the Fire Department with Search and Rescue (SAR) teams. An inquiry will be launched to investigate the incident.
