The Justice imputed to three policemen following a manhunt in April 2021 that ended with a deceased man, reported the prosecutor’s spokesman, Javier Benech.
One of the officers was formalized as the alleged perpetrator of the homicide and the other two as a cover-up.
The troops were ordered to total house arrest precautionary measure with an electronic device, according to Mirtha Morales, the prosecutor in the case.
These precautionary measures were ordered to ensure the development of the investigation.
The chase was on April 10, 2021. A police mobile located the vehicle marked BMW in the vicinity of Jose Pedro Varela and Luis Alberto de Herrera that was required. At that moment they approached to ask the driver of the vehicle to stop, but he “showed a weapon and fled the scene”, in addition to firing shots, for which a chase began for several blocks, even through streets in the opposite direction.
Near Italia and Centenario avenues, the 24-year-old who was driving the car was shot in the head and died after being taken to a health center.
The version provided by the police officials in the first instance raised doubtssince no weapon was found in the car and the video surveillance cameras that were investigated did not show that the man had fired it during the flight.
