“A small group of our adherents personally decided to join the Social Convergence party. We wish the best to the comrades of the RM, to the mayor of Independencia and to deputy Lorena Fries in her decision to become a member of said party,” Unir said in a statement issued this Thursday.

Let us remember that at the end of September, Common Force, a movement founded by the ex-conventional Fernando Atria, joined CS. The Central Committee of the collective accepted that they join the party.
Both Durán and Atria resigned from the Socialist Party (PS) in October 2019, before the social outbreak.
Party that brings together the FA
In the declaration of the Unir Movement, they also detailed that they held a national meeting on October 1. In it, they reiterated their proposal to create a political party that brings together all the forces of the Broad Front. In pursuit of that goal, they decided to continue as an independent movement within the FA and “not join a political party.”
Finally, they reaffirmed their commitment to a new constitutional process and “a government program that ensures well-being for Chileans.”
