According to the information disclosed by the accounts of military organizations on social networks, one of the objectives of the meeting, this Thursday, October 6, is to seek “optimize the continuous contribution to the development of the country’s productive apparatus.”

The meeting of the military minister with the directors of the FAN companies was held at the Simón Bolívar Institute of Strategic Operational Studies, in Fuerte Tiuna. There Padrino López was accompanied by the Deputy Minister of Defense Services, Major General Danny Ferrer Sandrea.
«In the FAN we know that it is consubstantial to the defensive capacity of our country, development, productivity and economic prosperity: hence the effort of the military industry motor! Let’s go with everything,” said the Minister of Defense.

The Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) warned that these corporations are not able to show dividends or public transparency about their management.

Where is the FANB going? », the organization highlighted the common characteristics of decentralized bodies, decentralized entities, state companies, autonomous institutes and state foundations, attached to the Ministry of Defense.
Control Ciudadano said that these instances “are not capable of exhibiting dividends or public transparency of their management, the signing of contracts and provision of goods and services of these entities are completely opaque to society, and it is unknown if they are making the physical and financial surrenders before the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic and the Office of the Comptroller General of the National Armed Forces, as the case may be, in accordance with the Law.
