TSE approves free advertising plan for the second round

Electoral Justice receives 28 thousand registrations of candidacy for the elections

The plenary of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) unanimously approved, today (6), the media plan for free electoral propaganda on TV and radio during the second round of elections. According to the approved media plan, candidates Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Jair Bolsonaro, who are vying for the Presidency of the Republic, will have 5 minutes each in the two daily blocks of electoral propaganda.

The schedules of the blocks follow the same as for the first round: on TV, the advertisements will be broadcast from Monday to Saturday, from 1 pm to 1:10 pm and from 8:30 pm to 8:40 pm. On the radio, the ad for president airs from 7:00 am to 7:10 am and from 12:00 pm to 12:10 pm.

The first to present himself will be the ex-president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, for having obtained more votes in the first round. From there, the alternation is made with President Jair Bolsonaro, who seeks re-election and came in second.

In the case of governors, the blocks are also 10 minutes long, airing from 1:10 pm to 1:20 pm and from 8:40 pm to 8:50 pm on TV. On the radio, the hours are from 7:10 to 7:20 and from 12:10 to 12:20.

Candidates also have 25 minutes of inserts per position, Monday through Sunday, to run 30-second to 60-second pieces across radio and TV programming.
