The Uruguayan Institute of Meteorology (Inumet) reported that an atmospheric disturbance associated with a humid and unstable air mass affects the country, generating storms, some of which are very strong. Given this, a yellow alert is in force in the north and northeast of the country.
In this framework, they reported that in storm zones intense rains may be recorded in short periods, hail fall, intense electrical activity and very strong gusts of wind. Inumet will continue to monitor the situation and will update the information at 11:00 or any significant changes.
