The Secretariat of Comprehensive Drug Policies of the Argentine Nation (Sedronar), Gabriela Torres, at the third annual meeting 2022 of the Federal Drug Council (Cofedro) stated that “alcohol continues to be the substance that is most consumed and the one with the most consequences physical and social brings,” they officially reported.
At the meeting, which brought together provincial representatives and authorities on the subject, to put into debates public policies regarding the problem of substance useanalyzed the alcohol consumption and how to approach it from the different levels of the State.
In this sense, SEDRONAR and the 24 jurisdictions of the country, grouped in the Federal Drug Council, signed a document through which they agree on a comprehensive prevention and care strategy for alcohol consumption.

In this sense, the head of the Toxicology Service of the General Acute Hospital “Dr. Juan A. Fernández”, Carlos Damin pondered the zero alcohol bill, promoted by the National Road Safety Agency, and I estimate “I have no doubt that the zero alcohol law will have many positive consequences”
On this topic, the delegates from the provinces of Jujuy, Neuquén and La Pampa presented the experiences of public policies in the approach to alcohol consumption in their territories.
Also in the meeting The national deputy Mara Brawer participated, author of a bill on the free provision of drinking water in establishments that sell alcoholic beverages.
