The second vice president of Congress, dignified street (Podemos Peru), spoke about the meeting he had at his home with the Minister of the Interior, Willy Huerta, the same day that the Plenary debated the motion of censure against him.
Through a statement, the parliamentarian explained that the meeting was not arranged by her, but by her husband, who is a member of the National Executive Committee (CEN) of the Podemos Peru party.
“This meeting was not agreed, accepted or attended by me, but by my husband, Arón Espinoza, CEN member of the Podemos Peru party.. It should be remembered that I continue to be a guest of the party, which is why I remain focused on my parliamentary work”, reads the statement.
Next, he explained that he had just made a statement on this subject, since last Thursday, September 29, he traveled abroad and returned last Tuesday. “I immediately went to Parliament to meet with the president of Congress, as well as with the members of my caucus“, said.
Likewise, Calle mentioned that this Wednesday, October 5, he explained his version of the events to the spokesmen of the various parliamentary benches in the session of the Board of Spokespersons that took place during the afternoon. In this sense, he assured that the meeting with the head of the Ministry of the Interior was held after the vote on the motion of censure.
“To all my fellow supporters, I have presented a chronological account of the events, which shows that the meeting in question was held after the minister’s censure vote. and withdrawal of reconsideration. Likewise, I reminded them that the Podemos bench voted in favor of the interpellation of said minister”, he added.
Finally, the second vice-president of the Parliament rejected any affirmation that indicates that she received Minister Huerta Olivos at her house for some type of negotiation or thanks for his vote.
