Venezuelan Ambassador delivered credential letters in Syria

Within the framework of the Bolivarian Diplomacy of Peace, the designated Venezuelan ambassador to the Syrian Arab Republic, José Gregorio Biomorgi, delivered this Wednesday Credentials to President Bashar Al-Ássad, with the firm intention of continuing cooperation relations and friendship between both peoples for 76 years.

The appointment of the diplomat it was published in the Official Gazette of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela No. 42,445, dated August 22, the Foreign Ministry refers.

Biomorgi was in charge of this Diplomatic Mission between the years 2018-2021, management recognized by the Syrian Government with the Order of Merit, in its Excellent Class.

The distinction was delivered by the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ayman Sousan, who highlighted the deep friendship between Venezuela and Syria, stating that the “two countries share the same suffering”, referring to the US conspiracies and the criminal and illegal unilateral coercive measures.

Upon his return to Caracas, Biomorgi assumed the positions of Vice Minister of Industrial Development and then Minister of People’s Power for Industries and National Production. Previously, he also held the presidency of Quimbiotec (a state pharmaceutical company) and of the National Center for Chemical Technology.

On September 21, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Carlos Faría met in New York with his Syrian counterpart, Faisal Al Mekdad, regarding his participation in the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.
