Mexico's economy creates 172,492 jobs with social security

86.6% of jobs are permanent and 13.4% are temporary. The average contribution salary was 480.7 pesos, according to IMSS data released this Wednesday.

The industries that recorded the highest growth in new jobs were communications and transportation, as well as construction.

Services for companies, commerce and transformation also registered growth while the agri-food industry had a contraction of 0.5%.

By entities, Tabasco, Baja California Sur and Quintana Roo are the entities with the highest job creation while Sinaloa, Michoacán and Zacatecas have the lowest growth.
