The Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and AFPs (SBS) reported this Tuesday that it declared the dissolution of two savings and credit cooperatives, due to being involved in the cause of inactivity.
By means of the SBS Resolution No. 03019-2022which was published today in Legal Standards of the newspaper El Peruano, declared the dissolution of the Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito Finansur Perú Ltda.
In the regulation, the SBS indicated that it verified the closure of Finansur’s main premises, located in Arequipa, without prior knowledge and/or authorization from the SBS, for a period of 15 continuous calendar days, from September 9, 2022 to 23 of said month.

By that measure, the decision of dissolution was made and “a temporary administrator is appointed to assume its representation”.
“The dissolution resolution does not put an end to the legal existence of Coopac, which subsists until the liquidation or bankruptcy process is concluded and, as a consequence, its extinction is registered in the corresponding Public Registry.”, he indicated.
However, in the resolution it mentioned that Finansur will no longer be subject to credit.
Let us remember that various citizens denounced the Finasur cooperative for having left them bankrupt with a modus operandi of total fraud.
According to the testimonies, the users indicated that the top executives of the cooperative disappeared with their savings; In addition, most of the clients are elderly and terminally ill patients who depend on the monthly interest.
Sayani Dissolution
Meanwhile, through the SBS Resolution No. 03017-2022the dissolution of the Sayani Ltda. Savings and Credit Cooperative was declared.
The SBS specified that it verified the closure of the main Sayani premises, located in the Arequipa region, without prior knowledge and/or authorization, for a period of 15 continuous calendar days, from September 1, 2022 to the 15th of said month, Thus, he did not pay attention to his partners.
After this measure, the Sayani cooperative will no longer be subject to credit.
In application of article 9 of the Regulation of Special Regimes from the date of publication of both resolutions, the dissolved Coopacs are prohibited from:
- Initiate legal or administrative proceedings against you for the collection of credits at your expense.
- Pursue the execution of judicial resolutions issued against them.
- Create liens on any of the assets as collateral for the obligations that concern them.
- Make payments, advances or compensations, or assume obligations on her behalf, with the funds or assets that belong to her and are in the possession of third parties.
- Establish a precautionary measure against their assets.
