The two candidates for president of the Republic and the 24 candidates for governor who are vying for the second round of elections can resume free electoral propaganda on radio and TV on Friday (7th).
The advertisement will be broadcast on broadcasters that operate on VHF and UHF, as well as on pay-TV channels managed by the Senate, the Chamber of Deputies, the legislative assemblies, the Legislative Chamber of the Federal District or the municipal councils.
Accessibility resources, such as text subtitles, a window with a Libras interpreter and audio description must be used, under the responsibility of the parties, federations and coalitions.
In the second round, advertising time is divided equally among the candidates. The advertisement will run until October 28, 2 days before the vote, scheduled for October 30.
According to electoral rules, advertising for President of the Republic will be broadcast on TV from Monday to Saturday, from 1 pm to 1:10 pm, and from 8:30 pm to 8:40 pm. On the radio, the ad for president airs from 7:00 am to 7:10 am and from 12:00 pm to 12:10 pm.
The first to present himself will be the ex-president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, for having obtained more votes in the first round. From there, the alternation is made with President Jair Bolsonaro, who seeks re-election and came in second.
In the 12 states where the gubernatorial race will be defined in the second round, candidates will be able to broadcast advertising from 7:10 am to 7:20 am and from 12:10 pm to 12:20 pm on the radio. On television, the election time for governor will be from 1:10 pm to 1:20 pm and from 8:40 pm to 8:50 pm.
Candidates have 25 minutes of inserts per position, Monday through Sunday, to run 30-second to 60-second pieces throughout the schedule.
