The Justice of Rio decided today (4) to bring forward the trial of former federal deputy Flordelis dos Santos de Souza. The measure was taken by Judge Nearis dos Santos Carvalho Arce, from the 3rd Criminal Court of Niterói, who scheduled the jury trial for November 7, at 9 am. Previously, the trial was scheduled for December 12, but the date was changed due to the two FIFA World Cup semi-finals, on the 13th and 14th.
In addition to Flordelis, the children Marzy Teixeira da Silva, André Luiz de Oliveira and Simone dos Santos Rodrigues, and granddaughter Rayane dos Santos Oliveira will also be tried in November. They are accused of the death of Pastor Anderson do Carmo, Flordelis’ husband, shot dead in June 2019, shortly after he arrived home, accompanied by Flordelis and was murdered with dozens of shots as he got out of the car, in the backyard of his house. , in the district of Piratininga, in Niterói, metropolitan region of Rio. Flordelis had entered the house moments before.
“It appears that on December 13th and 14th, the two semifinals of the FIFA World Cup will be held, in which the Brazilian football team will be able to participate, generating the possibility that the judgment session will remain unfeasible, given its probable extension. for more than one day, even, in addition to the probable decree of optional point, as happened in previous opportunities”, wrote the judge in her decision.
