In the middle of a new consultation table organized by the National Government, through the Ministry of Transport and the National Infrastructure Agency (ANI), with the riverside communities Dam Channel of the departments of Bolivar, Atlantic and Sucre, Agreements of wills were signed that give clear path to the award process to the PPP of the megaproject.
“Our purpose is the citizens, the children, the adults, the defenders of these communities who have legitimately presented guardianships, popular actions. We come to tell you that there will be no deception or anything, on the contrary, a commitment to work for you. These sheets are signed with paperwork from the Ministry of the Interior, the ANI, and of course the Secretariat of Transparency of the Presidency, tell them that I will always be here to continue listening to them,” said the Minister of Transportation, Guillermo Reyes.

For his part, the President of the ANI, William Camargonoted that “there are some instances that still depend on judicial issues, We are going to continue with the socialization and with what we have been working on in recent weeks with the communities.”
The signed agreement includes commitments demanded by the communities such as the conducting new prior consultations, and the guarantee of permanence of the inhabitants in these territories.
“There is much to build, someone once said the project yes but not like this, but for it not to be like that The project must be awarded so that the mitigation measures, prior consultations and improvement can begin so that it satisfies the communities,” Minister Reyes pointed out.

From the Government it is expected that after this agreement of wills with the communities, the community council of Hato Viejo desist from the guardianship that has stopped the megaproject with precautionary measures, to unlock and start the adjudication process again.
