The legislator of the Alliance for Progress, Eduardo Salhuanaaffirmed that the meeting that the vice-president of Parliament, Digna Calle, had with the Minister of the Interior, Willy Huertaat home makes her liable to be censored from the post.
In statements to the press, the parliamentarian considered that Calle had enough time to give his explanations for this case, which has been known since last week, but has not done so to date.
“The vice president made a wrong gesture that sends a negative message to the public. What happens is that these events have already passed several days, the request for censorship was not yesterday but days ago, so she has had time to explain “, told the media from Congress.
“The elements, as they have been given, deserve censorship from the vice president of Congress”, he added.

Yesterday, Jorge Montoya of Popular Renewal announced that his bench will present a censorship against Calle. Legislator Edward Málaga has also been in favor of the measure.
Previously, the president of the Legislative Power, José Williams (Avanza País), indicated that the member of the Board of Directors is on leave and that they should wait to hear her defenses, after the announcement of Popular Renewal.
“Obviously this affects Congress. I have not been able to talk with her, she is on leave, she is surely going to make her defenses in this regard and I think that ex officio there is already a bench that is presenting a motion of censure ”, told the press.
If his departure from the Board of Directors is finalized, a new election must be held to cover only this position.
