The gynecologist who was suspended by the Ministry of Public Health (MSP) after receiving a complaint of a patient for sexual abuse went to work in September at Las Piedras Hospitalafter being notified of his sanction, reported Underlined and confirmed The Observer with sources from the State Health Services Administration (ASSE).
The hospital in question had not yet been notified, because ASSE was in the process of notify the units where the doctor worked.
Nevertheless, the professional had already been notified of the sanction. As a result of this situation, the ASSE Board of Directors will analyze next week File a criminal complaint against the doctor.
The gynecologist attended the Las Piedras Hospital on September 25 and 26. José Luis Satdjian, in office of interim minister, signed the sanction —which ordered an administrative summary and the withholding of assets— August 12th.

The event reported by a patient took place on December 10, 2020; Four days later, the woman appeared before the Ethics Court of the Medical College of Uruguay.

He did not inquire about my irregular cycles, or nodules, or hpv, or the inability to have children, issues that I told him about, ”says a court ruling.
Once the complainant positioned herself on the stretcher to begin the medical examination, instead of inserting the speculum, as she expected, the gynecologist inserted his thumb “repeatedly, caressing [sus] labia minora”.
