In order to bring positions closer, the meeting will be held this Tuesday between the parties of the ruling party and the Christian Democracy with Chile Vamos. This, prior to the official meeting this Thursday, which will bring together all the parties with parliamentary representation.
From the right they emphasized the desire for the Republican Party and the People’s Party to be more present in the dialogues. Although they have participated in every official meeting, they have not wanted to be part of the meetings organized by the caucuses.
The Secretary General of National Renewal, Diego Schalper, expressed the importance of all communities being present at each of the meetings.
“In case they don’t attend, let them tell us. Because personally, it seems to me that it is important that we are effectively in a symmetrical position without prejudice to the fact that decisions are not made by vote there and that one thing is how many people are sitting at the table, but obviously everyone at that table knows that the different parties have different parliamentary representation,” he told Radio Bio Bio.
The president of the Senate, Álvaro Elizalde, assured that the spirit of the meetings continues to be that of not excluding any representative from the next agreement that is reached.
“We are going to risk it for an inclusive agreement, here no one is going to be excluded, that is why the meetings that are being held every week have the call of all the actors, but obviously, in bilateral talks, there different benches coordinate with others and see how to generate common points of view and approach positions and proposals,” he concluded.
