The senator of the Independent Democratic Union (UDI), Jaime Coloma, generated a controversy when he struggled with the governor of the Maule region, Cristina Bravo, forcing her to raise her arm to salute in an official ceremony.
The event took place in the middle of the President’s visit Sebastian Piñera to inaugurate the new Provincial Hospital of Curicó. The event was attended by national and local authorities.
When the ceremony ended, the authorities were asked to salute by raising their hands for an official photograph, it was at that moment that the UDI parliamentarian struggled with the governor because she was with her arms down. The Maule authority only smiled at this action.
