The Cuban Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) reported the death of one of those injured in the fire last August at the Matanzas Supertanker Base, although without offering details.

The updated report on the victims of the incident maintains the total number of injured at 146 and the patients who have been discharged at 123. As for those hospitalized, after the new death, six now remain, all male, three of them reported as serious and the other three as being in care.
The note does not specify data on the deceased this Sunday, but if the last two parts on the subject are compared, it can be inferred that it was a patient reported as critical, who was admitted to the Calixto García hospital in Havana.
Publications on social networks and in unofficial media indicate that he was named Omar Ravelo, 63, and report that he died as a result of cardiac arrest. They also point out that he was a native of Bauta, in the province of Artemisa, where this Monday he was honoredand that he was a driver of a tanker truck that was working in the area of the fire when he suffered severe burns that kept him hospitalized until his death.
Regarding the situation of COVID-19, the new cases were detected after the analysis of 1,222 samples, and four of them were contacts of confirmed cases and in two the source of infection could not be specified, according to the most recent part of the Minsap.

Two of those infected are female and four are male, and none were asymptomatic. By age, the patients are distributed in equal figures (2), between those under 20 years of age, those between 20 and 39 years of age, and those over 60.
By provinces, only five provinces registered cases and only Ciego de Ávila, with three, had more than one infection.
In this way, a total of 71 patients remain hospitalized for the disease, of which 46 are suspected and 25 are confirmed active, none of whom are in critical or serious condition.
