"I'm still standing here", an album composed, performed and produced by high school students

“I’m still standing here” is the first album composed, performed and produced by high school students from the San Pedro school, in partnership with the UPC School of Music.

The performers of the songs that make up this album are the same students, with the special participation of 3 former students dedicated professionally to the world of music: Mariano Bisbal (finalist of the 4th season of Peru’s Got Talent), Daniela de Izcue (composer and singer) and DADY (Peruvian artist with great musical successes in the main American television soap operas), Peruvian artists who have achieved international recognition.

This first album produced by high school students, with various genres such as reggae, pop and rock, will be officially released on October 14 at 7:30 pm in a specially produced concert within the facilities of Colegio San Pedro, with capacity for 1000 people. In addition, the album will also be available on the Spotify platform from the same Friday, October 14. Tickets will be on sale on the Joinnus platform from Friday, September 22, and can be purchased for only S/ 15.

“This musical project is part of Creatívita, an artistic and solidarity initiative that has been promoted for 8 years in Villa Caritas and San Pedro schools. The Creatívita Música project seeks to encourage the development of students’ musical skills and the release of this first album at the school and professional level is precisely a great opportunity for their development and comprehensive learning, thus contributing to the formation of their skills and abilities. abilities”says Marcelo Rodriguez Yzusqui, Head of the Department of Art and Culture at the Villa Caritas and San Pedro schools.

All the artistic creations that are made in both schools are called “Art with a Purpose”, because they are at the service of others and seek to address real problems in society from a horizon of hope to become agents of change. Similarly, it represents a great challenge for students to get involved in the artistic world.
