MINTUR inaugurates a new hotel in the Jardines del Rey archipelago

The Grand Aston Cayo Paredón is part of the Cuban regime’s tourism development plan until 2030. In Cayo Paredón, two other facilities are also being completed (Roca Norte 1 and Roca Norte 2), in charge of the Almest Real Estate, with date of inauguration set for 2023, according to Iyolexis Correa Lorenzo, delegate of the Ministry of Tourism (MINTUR) in Ciego de Ávila.

The official also assured ACN that in the Jardines del Rey archipelago —made up of Coco, Guillermo, Paredón Grande and Antón Chico keys— some 37 projects are underway, covering accommodation, recreational and support areas.

Likewise, the authorities of the tourism sector foresee capital repairs in the Santiago-Habana and Perla del Norte hotels, located in the cities of Ciego de Ávila and Morón, respectively; as well as the improvement of Casa Vigía, in Cayo Guillermo. All the works will be carried out by the Tourism Real Estate Agency (Inmotur), according to Correa Lorenzo.

For its part, the Grupo Extrahotelero Palmares plans to diversify the leisure options in the northern keys of Avilanian, through the construction of the AquaRey Park and the Cayo Mortero Recreational Complex, both planned in Cayo Guillermo, according to the official.

MINTUR is also considering the creation of a food processing center and a bakery-candy shop in Morón, in addition to a support base for the Tourism Services Company (Emprestur) in Cayo Paredón, and a shelter for workers of the entity itself. in Cayo Coco.

According to the ACN, the real estate agency Almest planned, until the year 2030, the annual construction of 140 homes for workers in the tourism sector in the city of Morón.
