Santo Domingo.-The former vice president of the Republic and presidential candidate for the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD), Margarita Cedeño, assured this Wednesday that in relation to the management of social aid in the “Get over yourself” program, what exists there is outrageous, a total debacle, alterations in all the processes, and one robbery after another.
«Now that program is called Supérate, but supérate is an overcoming of a robbery and a disaster, one after the other, three hundred million, four hundred million; the information I have is about seven hundred million pesos, the first ones that were lost; There are only ten imprisoned colmaderos, but where are those ten colmaderos going to have five or six hundred million pesos, if you go to the bank to deposit five or six thousand dollars and they investigate you from top to bottom, then where is that money, I am outraged, very beautiful with what is happening there,” said Cedeño when interviewed on the radio program “El Rumbo de la Mañana”.
He went on to say that “this aid is not a handout, nor assistance, we turned it into a true social protection system, based on scientific measurement, we carried it out very rigorously, respecting the processes; now what exists there is outrageous, a total debacle”, she expressed.
In the same direction, he said that “thank God, they changed the name of those programs, so that when I arrive in 2024 I can resume my progress with solidarity, which does really respond to the mystique and the objective of what that program really represented, which is called progressing with solidarity, but progressing for all”.
