Saving money is one of the most complicated things to achieve for Colombian households due to multiple factors, one of which is the difficult situation that families are going through as a result of the economic crisis.
Money is less and less enough for purchases, services, obligations and other expenses; however, there are those who have the facilities to store money in banks or even in piggy banks.
This is the story of a Colombian couple who decided to save $500 at a time, depositing the coins in a 20-liter bottle of water, obviously empty.

The couple, who apparently is from Bogota, uploaded the video on Tik Tok of when they cut the plastic bottle with a knife.
They dropped the coins on the floor and began to count them one by one. Some were $1,000 and some were $500.

Through their social networks, the couple announced that after a thorough count, they accounted for a total of eight million pesos.
