The Judiciary approved the special process of Jorge Yoshiyama Sasaki, who was accused of financing the electoral campaigns of Fuerza Popular, better known as el ‘Case Cocktails’.
The case, in charge of the provincial prosecutor José Domingo Pérez, is in the accusation control stage. To date, the defense’s requests for the crime of money laundering not to be included in the process have been rejected.
The special process of Jorge Yoshiyama was approved by the corresponding court on March 30, after a series of hearings in which the evidence and statements delivered by Yoshiyama, linked to the investigation, were evaluated.
According to the prosecutor’s thesis, Jorge Yoshiyama had the function, within the criminal organization, of look for false contributors for the campaigns of the former presidential candidate Keiko Fujimori.
On September 30, the exclusion hearings were held, due to admission to a special process, of the defendants Jorge Yoshiyama Sasaki, Pedro Velayarce Llanos and Patricia Moritani Kutsuma.
At the end of the same and within the term of law, it was decided to declare founded the request presented by the prosecutor José Domingo Pérez, with which Jorge Yoshiyama was excluded from the accusation.
