The process of Nestor Lorenzo as technician of Colombia senior team is in full swing after having played friendly matches against Guatemala and Mexico and while a microcycle of work is carried out with players who play in the BetPlay League.
Ramón Jesurún, president of the Colombian Football Federation, gave this Monday, October 3, details of the work plan with the national team.

“We are happy. Lorenzo’s coaching staff has started to work very hard. He has been in club training and in matches. The friendlies left us with very pleasant sensations. Both matches were important,” said the manager in dialogue with Win Sports .
Jeshurun explained that despite there being no FIFA date in November, inside the FCF they are working to reach an agreement with other federations and agree on at least one friendly match, which would be played with soccer players from the BetPlay League.
Additionally, the manager assured that a commitment against United States in January 2023, also with “domestic rented” players.

On the other hand, the president of the Colombian Football Federation recalled that Néstor Lorenzo will develop a second microcycle from October 17.
Finally, Jesurún affirmed that Barranquilla and the Roberto Meléndez Metropolitan Stadium will continue to host the Colomba Senior National Team in the Qualifiers for the World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico in 2026.
