FLINTS. – Haitians set fire to tires and blocked the access door to this community this morning to prevent their compatriots from crossing to buy at the binational market.
The action of the Haitians was in protest against the prohibition made by the Dominican Government on the entry of vehicles into Dominican territory.

However, Haitians with fewer economic resources are looking for ways to enter the binational market to buy food and other items.
Meanwhile, the Dominican military authorities cordoned off all fuel stations and stationed themselves at the door with Haiti to prevent disturbances.
