Six subjects, members of gangs dedicated to kidnapping, extortion and other crimes were arrested in Bolívar, according to reports from the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB).
In a first procedure, Luis Enrique Betancourt Álvarez, Luis José Carreño, Enmanuel Isaac González Carvajal and Edwin Alejandro Rivero Martínez were captured, who were traveling through the Unare I sector, Caroní municipality (Ciudad Guayana).
The agents of the National Anti-extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas) arrested the four subjects in response to investigation order No. MP-194093-2022, related to a theft of cell phones, which were recovered.
Another military procedure was carried out in the San Isidro sector, Sifontes municipality (Tumeremo), Bolívar, where they arrested José Díaz Barceló, a member of the criminal organization founded by Eduardo José Natera (El Run).
The detainee had a visible .38 revolver, five cartridges of the same caliber and a radio transmitter, material that was seized.
Díaz Barceló was traveling in a Toyota Corolla, license plate AE494JK, which was also confiscated.
And in the La Antena sector, Bolivarian municipality of Angostura (Ciudad Piar), the military detained a member of the El Ciego gang from whom they seized a 9mm Browning pistol, model PGP, a magazine and twelve 9mm caliber cartridges. .
The detainee is identified as José Alexander Medina, who was handed over to the Public Ministry.
