The publication also specifies that the Argentine foreign minister, Santiago Cafiero, the ambassador of that country in Cuba, Luis Ilarregui, and the president of Aciah, Sabina Frederic, provided the island’s authorities with the assistance deemed necessary.
In addition to water purification tablets, Argentina is preparing kitchen kits, which could be destined for those who remain evacuated and require basic supplies to prepare their food, the document points out.

Last week, Hurricane Ian crossed the western province of Pinar Del Río, leaving as a balance three people died directly and great material damage that extended to the neighboring provinces of Artemisa, Mayabeque, Havana and the Special Municipality of the Isle of Youth.
The atmospheric phenomenon also indirectly influenced the collapse of the National Electroenergetic System (SEN) that left the entire country without power supply, in some places for several days, which has caused some sources of protest.
So far, two other fatalities related to the hydrometeorological event have been reported, in this case two workers from the Electrical Union (UNE) who participated in the recovery efforts in the capital.
Although the official media have not referred to the issue, alternative media reports based on information appearing on social networks indicate that both linemen would have received strong electric shocks that caused their death.
