During the afternoon of this recent Saturday, they reported that Rosario Martinezpresented her “non-voluntary” resignation from her position as national director of the National Service for Minors (Sename), she had held that position since October 2020.
According to preliminary information, the news was spread through a statement, although the sociologist from the Pontifical Catholic University also published the decision through a post on her Instagram account.
Milestones
In the publication, Martínez does not give any statements about the reasons for his resignation, but instead lists the milestones achieved in his administration.
“Among the milestones of his management, the work and development for the separation of specialized services stands out, which allowed the creation of the new Better Childhood service, in charge of the protection and care of children and adolescents whose rights are violated”, points out in his post.
Likewise, it also highlights the “development and progress for what will be the new Youth Social Reintegration service and that will give definitive closure to what we currently know as Sename”.
To remember that Martínez took office in October 2022 under the government of Sebastian Pinerabeing chosen through the Senior Public Management system, becoming the first person chosen by this mechanism.
