The President of the Council of Ministers, Hannibal Torresspoke about the results that will be announced after the election day that takes place this Sunday, October 2, to choose the new mayors and regional governors throughout the country.
After going to vote, the prime minister called on citizens to fulfill their civic duty of going to vote and to respect the results resulting from the will of the people.
“I appeal to all citizens to turn out to vote and after this day is over and the winner is declared, the popular will must be respected”, he declared for the press.
Next, Torres Vásquez emphasized that they will coordinate with the new local, regional and provincial authorities with the purpose of executing the budget that has been assigned to them for their respective localities.
“That we work in coordination with local governments, the regional government, the provincial government. We have a lot to do in Peru, local and regional governments are behind in the execution of the budget. It is necessary that the budget be executed because with it you can have schools, hospitals, medical posts, communication routes, etc.“, held.
At the same time, a group of people began to boo the chief of staff and shouted “corrupt”. Faced with this, Aníbal Torres only managed to call them “putschists”.
“Look at the conduct of these coup plotters who never recognize the popular will or respect anything, but when they are answered they start to cry”, he expressed.
