The Ministry of Public Health notified this Sunday 98 new infections of covid, 35 less than the 133 registered the day before, and no deaths from that cause. Likewise, he indicated that 1,601 tests were carried out in the last 24 hours.
The institution said that between 9:00 a.m. on Friday and the same time on Saturday, 1,601 tests were processed that detected 65 infections in the National District, 11 in the Santo Domingo province, 6 in Santiago, 3 in La Vega, 3 in San Pedro de Macorís, 2 in La Altagracia, 1 in Azua, 1 in Dajabón, 1 in the Duarte province, 1 in La Romana, 1 in Samaná, 1 in San Juan and 1 in San Cristóbal.
The total number of deaths from covid-19 in the country is 4,384, 24.61% of whom were hypertensive and 15.90% diabetic. Among those infected there are 3,088 health workers, 3,698 pregnant women and 82,132 under 20 years of age. The daily positivity stood at 9.26% while the accumulated positivity in the last four weeks is 3.08%.

HOSPITAL OCCUPATION
In the Dominican Republic there are 2,373 beds available for covid patients, 28 of which (1.2%) are occupied. There are 585 beds in intensive care units, 4 occupied (0.7%). Of 468 ventilators available in the hospital network, 0 occupied (0.0%).
With the new confirmed cases, the number of people who have been infected in the country rose to 646,442, of which 487 have active infection and 641,571 have recovered.
