«To the undecided, to those over 70 years of age and to the 16 who have the title of voter, tomorrow is the day to carry out the main civic act. Help to have the Brazil we dream of,” said Lula, who governed Brazil between 2003 and 2010.

The former president refused to comment on the vote intention polls, which give him between 50% and 51% of the valid votes. He figures that would allow him to return to the presidency in the first round, but he acknowledged that he is “optimistic” about the elections.
