The traffic jams in Bogotá is one of the headaches of the citizens who day after day have to see their trips delayed due to, sometimes, traffic accidents that are very minor, but after failing to reach an agreement, they tend to wait for traffic agents for hours, which causes the main roads of the city to collapse.
Precisely, El Tiempo mentioned that last July 14 on the Autopista Norte, due to a minor accident, the drivers who did not reach any agreement had to wait more than two hours for a Transit Police to arrive. PeBut to the surprise of the offenders, the agent imposed a fine on them for obstructing traffic, taking into account that these minor collisions must have a quick solution.

Taking this example into account, it was announced that Law 2251 has already come into force, which stipulates the way to resolve conflicts of simple shocks throughout the national territory, so the sketches will disappearand now, every time this inconvenience arises, it must be resolved through a conciliation between the parties involved and the insurers only in the event that the cars have a policy.
Thus, the citizens involved must take all the sufficient evidence, which includes photos and videos. Once this process is done, vehicles should be removed from the roadand if they insist on staying, the traffic agent will proceed to impose a fine for both parties, unless one of the vehicles has a mechanical failure.

Another of the positive aspects with this new law 2251, is that for the material damage of cans and that they occur in a slight way, the agent will no longer present the report that is normally made in which perimeter measurements are made and who bears witness to the events that took place. It should be noted that this only occurs in simple accidents.
