Santo Domingo – The president of the People’s Force, Leonel Fernandez, said this Thursday through his Twitter account @ LeonelFernández, that the government must abandon the indifference it shows to the outbreak of COVID-19 in the country.
“Faced with the new wave of spread of COVID-19, the government must abandon its indifference,” Fernández tweeted.

The former president of the Republic, also expressed his concern about the need for supplies and medicines in many hospitals. “Even gloves and syringes are missing,” he quoted.
“Complaints of withdrawal of beds in hospitals, deficiency in emergencies and rejection of SENASA in health centers,” Fernández continued writing in another tweet.
The leader of the People’s Force rejected that in the face of what he considers the collapse of the health system, the government’s response is helplessness.
“The government’s response to the collapse of the health system cannot be helplessness. We must act to protect the people and the heroic health personnel,” he said.
