With regard to the act of celebration of the 17 years of the Strategic Operational Command of the FANB, the Commander of the Ceofanb, G/J Domingo Hernández Lárez, made a detailed report to demonstrate the achievements of this body, essential in terms of security and defense of the National territory.
In this sense, the Commander of Ceofanb highlighted that through the formation of Rapid Deployment Units in which all the components unite and deploy in a specific territory, the following objectives could be achieved:
Dismantling of the TANCOL groups in Apure state. The military operation in which more than ten thousand men and women were deployed, achieved the destruction of more than 300 camps made up of these terrorist groups, in the state of Apure.
Likewise, 36 cocaine hydrochloride laboratories, hidden in forest reserves, very close to the border with Colombia, were disabled. Similarly, Hernández Lárez highlighted that the military operation managed to deactivate more than 3,000,000 explosive devices and destroy 27 clandestine landing strips.
In general, the Ceofanb Commander added that to date, the different components of the FANB have managed to seize more than 41,000 kilos of marijuana and Cocaine, in addition to disabling 309 aircraft invading our geographical space, he explained.
All these achievements would not have materialized if they had not had the collaboration and disposition of the People’s Power. “We are bringing welfare and security to the people and in turn the people are identifying with the need to defend what rightfully belongs to us,” he said.
The special operations were undertaken under the order of the Head of State, Nicolás Maduro, in the states of Barinas, Apure, Táchira, Zulia, Bolívar, Amazonas, Delta Orinoco, Sucre, in order to guarantee the security and stability of the population in these border territories.
