On Sunday, October 2, the regional and municipal elections throughout the country, in which citizens will elect their political representatives for the period 2023-2026.
In the case of the district of San Martín de Porres, there are ten candidates seeking to reach the municipal chair. Three other lists were declared inadmissible.

The candidates for mayor of San Martín de Porres are:
Jorge Luis Aliaga Cervantes (Free Peru)
He has unfinished studies in History at the Faculty of Social Sciences of the National University of San Marcos (UNMSM).
He has not registered sentences or complaints in process in his sworn statement of resume presented before the National Elections Jury (JNE).
Luis Paul Cárdenas Sánchez (We are Peru)
He studied Law at the University of Huánuco and has a Master’s Degree in Public Management from the César Vallejo University.
He has been a councilor of the Municipality of San Martín de Porres and worked in Congress as an advisor to legislators Guillermo Aliaga and Matilde Fernández, interchangeably.
Oscar Arturo Castillo Guevara (Front of Hope)
He has a bachelor’s degree in Archaeological Sciences from the Catholic University of Santa María. He has been a professor at the National University of the Altiplano and advisor to the Municipality of San Martín de Porres.

Dick Anthony Castillo Inca (Popular Action)
He studied Systems Engineering and Economics at the National University of San Marcos (UNMSM). He has been a member of Popular Action since 2008.
He has been working since 2019 in the Municipality of Rímac. He does not record judicial sentences in his affidavit.
Hugo Daniel Garay Matos (Popular Force)
He studied Law at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP), where he also obtained a Master’s Degree in Criminal Law. He ran for Congress for Popular Force in the 2021 general elections.
In his affidavit of life sheet, he registers three demands, one for affiliation of extra-maternity paternity and two for alimony.
Peter Omar Jaime Cori (Alliance for Progress)
He is a lawyer from the Inca Garcilaso de la Vega University and has a master’s degree in Economic Administrative Law from the Continental University.
He worked in the municipalities of La Molina (2021) and Los Olivos (2017). He did not record sentences or complaints in process in his affidavit of resume.
Adolfo Israel Mattos Piaggio (Popular Renewal)
He has a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the National University of Engineering (UNI). He was mayor of San Martín de Porres during the period 2015-2018.

Guido Alfonso Meza Urbano (Purple Party)
He has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the Federico Villareal National University. He was a tax accounting advisor for various companies.

Hernán Tomas Sifuentes Barca (Podemos Peru)
