In the early hours of this Thursday, the Broad Front reported that the mother of its president, Fernando Pereira, passed away, and his co-religionists were the first to send him their condolences and accompaniment.
“We regret the death of Alicia Kosec, mother of our colleague and president, Fernando Pereira. To him and his family, our tight, strong and supportive hug at this bitter moment. The wake will be held from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., in Forestier Pose, Nueva Palmira and Cufré”, the FA communicated through its social networks.
“Upon the death of Mrs. Kosec, mother of our colleague and president, Fernando Pereira. We send you our condolences and a big hug,” said the MPP legislator, Susana Pereyra.
“From the Frente Amplista Congress, our most sincere condolences to Comrade Fernando Pereira and his family on the recent death of his mother,” expressed this political space belonging to the FA.
The Casa Grande sector stated: “We send our big hug to the fellow president of our political force, Fernando Pereira, for the death of his mother.”
“A big hug to Fernando Pereira for the loss of his mother”, were the words of Selva Andreoli, renowned publicist.
Other Frente Amplio groups, such as Popular Convergence, FA Lavalleja, FA Maldonado, the Puerto Buceo Committee, sent their messages to Pereira.
Politicians from other parties also demonstrated, such as the National Party senator, Grace Bianchiwho tweeted his “condolences (…) in the face of this serious loss.”
“We regret the death of Alicia Kosec, mother of Fernando Pereira, president of the Broad Front. Our most sincere condolences and a big hug, ”said the Vice President of the Republic, Beatrice Argimon.
“Our greetings to the president of the Broad Front, Fernando Pereira, upon the death of his mother. RIP”, was the message of the Secretary of the Presidency, Álvaro Delgado.
From the official account of National Party they wrote: “The National Party regrets the death of the mother of the president of the Broad Front, Fernando Pereira. At this sad time, we send our sincere condolences to her family, friends and political force.”
