The State Protection Secretariat explained that the victim was drilling inside the mine, the action caused the detachment of stones that fell on top of the two men who were in the mine.
After the accident, Governor Esteban Villegas Villarreal instructed the specialized rescue personnel of the State Civil Protection Coordination (CEPC) to move to attend the accident and prepare nearby hospitals to treat injured people.
I have instructed immediate attention to the unfortunate accident in a mine in the municipality of Indé. Civil Protection teams, a specialized rescue service, and priority medical attention have already been deployed.
