His name has become relevant in the last hours after the Defense Minister Daniel Barragánstated that a “material error” by consigning said person as ‘Lay Vasquez’ in a official flight to Chiclayo on June 23 of this year.
“I want to refer to the material error that existed when there was a trip by the President of the Republic, when placing the word ‘Lay’ in the office, because that is what the document made by hand said. When they type it, the lady who passes it in the office, she surpasses him by putting ‘Lay’, but the one who really travels is Yoni Vásquez Castillo, her ID confirms it when she returns”, argued last Wednesday.

Another important aspect is that a difference was identified between the DNI number of the president’s nephew, Yoni Vasquezand the one recorded on the passenger manifest.
The DNI that belongs to the brother of Fray Vásquez is 47069680, but not 97069630, which is not found in the system of the Renieck.
Recently, the lawyer Edward Pachasdefense of the head of state, maintained that Yoni Vasquez is willing to collaborate with the Prosecutor’s Office.
“Yoni Vásquez exists and is willing to give all the information to the Prosecutor’s Office at the time and in the manner they deem convenient”, he commented.
Oversight Commission will summon Yoni Vásquez
Upon learning of this fact, Hector Venturapresident of the Control Commissionannounced that he will summon Yoni Vasquez Castillo after Minister Barragán explained the error regarding the registration of his name as ‘Lay Vásquez’.
“The Minister of Defense points out that there was an error when writing ‘Yoni’ and ‘Lay’ was placed. He sounds absurd because of the null resemblance of the names. But it would be better if the brother of today’s fugitive Fray himself clarifies it. He will be summoned to the Control Commission ”, wrote on his Twitter account.
