The dispute between the tire business chambers and the SUTNA (Single Union of Argentine Tire Workers), because after several hours of trading yesterday, it went to a fourth intermediate until this Thursday.
The businessmen and the Union fail to reach an agreement on salary readjustment in this year’s joint ventures and, while the business chambers claimed to have improved their offer, the SUTNA maintains that there has been no new proposal.
In this sense, the conflict between the SUTNA and businessmen continues, so today a new meeting between the parties will be held at the Ministry of Labor in order to reach an agreement
“We talked about various ways to resolve, we are proposing many types of solutions, because we are willing to negotiate but we do not have a concrete proposal”said the director of the union, Alejandro Crespo.
And he added: “What they offered us, for now, we cannot accept. We are waiting for an improvement and if it is an improvement for our family we will accept it”, because for the union “if the companies are better” the workers also deserve “be better”.
Regarding the criticism that the union has received for its force measure, which already affects a large part of the automotive sector, Crespo said: “There are no radical or extreme ideas. We are negotiating a joint one.”
For their part, the Fate, Pirelli and Bridgestone companies, which keep their production slowed down, anticipated: “You cannot negotiate with blockades”, so they demand to the union resume their activities to renegotiate the salary proposal.

The parties will resume the dialogue from 2:00 p.m. today, under the supervision of the national director of Labor Relations and Regulations, Gabriela Marcello.
The idea is to find a solution to the conflict that has lasted five months and that today has paralyzed the Fate, Pirelli and Bridgestone plants, and the production of Fiat, Chevrolet and Toyota.
