The lightning video was recorded in Borivali West, a suburb of the city of Mumbai, in India, on September 8.

On Tuesday, September 27, the video of lightning that allegedly struck a building in Caracas went viral on social networks.

That day an intense downpour fell in the Venezuelan capital that left flooded roads, fallen trees and power outages in various areas of the city. However, the viral video was not recorded in Caracas.

After doing a reverse search, EsPaja.com found that the electrical storm took place in Borivali West, a suburb of the city of Bombay, in India, on September 8. The weather phenomenon left no damage, according to community reports.

The on-call forecaster of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (Inameh), Leonardo Meza, said this Wednesday, September 28, on the IVC program “On time” that rainfall of variable intensity is expected for at least 72 more hours.
