The strike represents, according to her relatives, a high danger for the political prisoner, since last August 31 she could be seen when the regime publicly exhibited a group of political prisoners during some fabricated hearings in the Managua courts, low weight and emaciated.
The former Sandinista guerrilla, critical of President Daniel Ortega, was captured in June 2021 and later sentenced to eight years in prison for crimes considered “treason.”
