Seven killed during operation Thunder VII in Petare

Two members of the Las Delicias criminal group killed

Security organizations began a deployment early Wednesday in Petare, Sucre municipality (Miranda) to locate and arrest members of criminal organizations that operate from that sector of Greater Caracas, according to police sources.

Until now there are seven subjects killed and five captured, who presented requests issued by criminal courts.

In a first phase, officials from the Cicpc, the Bolivarian National Guard (GNB) and the Bolivarian National Police (PNB), were deployed in the 10 zones of the José Félix Ribas neighborhood, from where the criminal organization founded by Wilexis Acevedo Monasterios (El Wilexis ).

Last weekend three men were murdered in Petare, two of them killed in the 12 de Octubre sector. One of the murdered is identified as Luis Jiménez Castro, who had a Sheriff’s card issued by the Executive Directorate of the Judiciary. Luis’s body was located along with another man whose identity is being verified.

And in the Palo Verde Industrial Zone they murdered Freiber Iriza, who was with a friend who was injured after being attacked by armed individuals.

The homicides are attributed to the El Wilexis gang.
