Perumin 35: Ferreycorp celebrates its 100 years with the delivery of the first fleet of autonomous trucks in Peru

Perumin has been sharing the milestone set by Ferreyros: the delivery of 100% of the first fleet of autonomous trucks in Peru, made up of 28 Cat 794 AC units, weighing 320 tons. Start-up of the Quellaveco operation, it is one of the most important fully autonomous hauling circuits in the Americas. Through an interactive table, the autonomy process for mining trucks is explained.

In the 400-ton truck category, the consolidation of the Cat 798AC, with electric traction and the highest power in its class (4,150 HP), which has been operating successfully in Peru for more than two years, stands out. It is added to the renowned Cat 797F mechanical truck, present for a decade in the mines and a pioneer in the trend of gigantism in the country. A leading population of more than 130 Cat giant trucks operates in the nation’s mining today.

Repair and reconstruction work is key to sustainability. One of the attractions is the display of a Cat R1600 low-profile loader, for underground mining, rebuilt under the Cat Certified Rebuild (CCR) program. The support of the Ferreyros workshop network stands out, which includes two World Class Certified Component Repair Centers in Lima and La Joya, Arequipa.

With a focus on technology, Caterpillar’s MineStar platform is observed, with autonomy, fleet management and precision earthmoving applications. At the same time, a simulator allows you to live the experience of operating a low-profile loader for underground mining. Also, the stand shows a mining operation at scale and important equipment for mining support: a Cat 336 excavator and a Cat 966 front loader.

Light machinery, cranes and lifting equipment
