QS Ranking: Universidad Andrés Bello within the 60 best universities in Latin America

During these days, the British consulting firm Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) released the results of the 22nd version of its Latin American ranking, which included the participation of 428 institutions.

In this edition, Universidad Andrés Bello ranks 56th at the regional level, rising important 15 points compared to the previous version and positioning itself in a privileged position among the best universities in Latin America.

At the local level, UNAB ranked 12th, two positions higher than the previous year, highlighting its good performance in terms of research and also in terms of its reputation among employers and academics.

“We are very happy with this result, since the progress achieved this year in the QS Latin America Ranking is a sign of our constant commitment to excellence. It is the result of committed and constant work, closely related to our mission and principles. These have been difficult years of the pandemic, which has meant rethinking ourselves on many issues, but without losing the quality and reputation of our university project,” said the rector of the UNAB, Julio Castro.

The methodology and indicators of QS Latin America consider academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty-student ratio, citations per published article, number of professors with doctorates, publications per academic, impact on the web and the network. research international.

In this last aspect, it was where the UNAB achieved the highest score increase, ranking seventh at the national level.

The first five places in this measurement are occupied by the Catholic University (1st), the University of Sao Paulo (2nd), the University of Chile (3rd), the Tecnológico de Monterrey (4th) and the State University of Campinas (5th).
