A woman died after the bus that transported fans to Mendoza to attend a Cup match overturned

A bus that was transporting Boca Juniors fans to Mendoza to attend a Copa Argentina match suffered an accident today. In the same one woman died and eight people are hospitalized after being injured.

The accident occurred around 1:00 p.m. in the municipality of San Martín, 40 kilometers from the capital of the province of Mendoza, when the bus overturned on route 7, in front of the Jorge Angel Pena racetrack, as a result of the puncture of one of the left front tire. In its trajectory, it changed lanes until it ended up overturning on the shoulder.
The bus transported 32 members of Peñas de Boca from the town of González Catán to Mendoza to attend the match against Quilmes in the quarterfinals of the Argentine Cup at the Malvinas Argentinas stadium in Mendoza.
Boca released a statement in which it regrets the tragic accident and makes itself available to those affected.
