They repudiate the Buenos Aires government for sending police to the students' houses

Political, social and human rights referents expressed their rejection and concern for the actions of the Buenos Aires government that this Tuesday night sent troops from the Police of the City to the houses of the families of the students who carry out intakes in public schools, to notify them that they must pay $1.5 million for each day of intake.

“The Government of CABA gave ‘orders’ to the Judiciary and the City Police to intimidate student families in their homes in the middle of the night. They appeal to persecution and discipline to govern. It is very serious. It is the essence of the nefarious Larreta’s anti-politics,” the Women’s Minister, Elizabeth Gómez Alcorta, posted on Twitter.

“Where is Horacio Rodríguez Larreta while he sends the police to notify a municipal violation in the homes of fathers and mothers of high school students in the middle of the night?” Asked the senator for the Front of All (FDT), Juliana Di Tullio, on his Twitter account, and recalled that, weeks ago, he had requested “the presence of the Federal in the illegal caves” and was criticized on the grounds of “lack of protection for the people of Buenos Aires.”

“Today, the police notify thousands of student homes in the middle of the night. Isn’t CABA unprotected tonight?” Di Tullio said.

For his part, the national deputy of the FDT, Leopoldo Moreau, said: “Macri says that the leadership must bank the dead to impose an economic model. Bullrich promises a bullet by troche and moche. Larreta sends prior intelligence work to the City Police to the house of high school students who are protesting. Democracy in mourning”.

For the deputy Leandro Santoro, the mayor of Buenos Aires “lies” and said that not only “schools are taken”, but also hospitals “are on strike due to conflict with doctors, nurses and all health personnel.”

“It’s not a ‘partisan protest’, it’s a policy of deliberate social disinvestment. Now, there’s plenty of money for advertising,” he remarked.

The Buenos Aires deputy Victoria Montenegro also expressed her concern last night on her Twitter account: “The City Police showing up tonight at the homes of the students who are protesting for improvements in the educational system is more than worrying. Larreta is more and more every day authoritarian”.

Meanwhile, deputy Rodolfo Tailhade expressed his repudiation by broadcasting a video in which he denounced that CABA’s attorney general, Juan Mahiques, is part of “a lawfare family that costs the State a fortune” and only persecutes “leaders popular”.

“The person responsible for the fascist raids that persecuted, intimidated and threatened the parents of high school students in conflict last night is the attorney general of CABA, Juan Mahiques. Here I leave a small sample of all the damage he has been doing with his family “, public.

From the Left, the deputy of the Front of the Left (FIT) Myriam Bregman denounced that the head of the Buenos Aires government “uses justice as an appendage of his cabinet” and added: “Now they are intimidating the families of the boys and girls who They took over schools, they threaten to charge them millions. When the ruralistas entered the city with their tractors, he applauded them. Let’s organize the repudiation now.”

“The exaggerated and repressive response of the City government to the school takeovers managed to draw attention to the claim: the food scandal (in quantity and quality), the state of the schools and the free work they want to subject to the students,” he added this morning in another tweet.

The seizures of public schools in the City of Buenos Aires by students continued this morning demanding food, better building infrastructure and against labor practices in companies, after yesterday the Buenos Aires Minister of Education, María Soledad Acuña , will announce that it will demand from the families of the students involved the payment of $1.5 million for each day of taking.

In addition to the shots, in many schools, such as the Mariano Acosta, where the conflict began last Friday, the students spent the night inside its facilities, while the Carlos Pellegrini School of Commerce is the first institution that does not depend on the City from Buenos Aires who joined the measure last night.

According to several parents of students through social networks, last night members of the Buenos Aires police went to their private homes to inform the parents about the fine they must pay.

“When we say that the City Police is political, we are also talking about this. That Larreta and Acuña use it to intimidate mothers/fathers of secondary militants. How different this City would be if the Government used its time and resources in, for example , improve school meals and building conditions, as the pibxs ask for,” Buenos Aires legislator Lucía Cámpora (FDT) posted on Twitter.

The Buenos Aires FIT legislator Gabriel Solano also repudiated that they send “the police to the student’s house” and described it as “a shame” on the part of Minister Acuña.

From the group Children for Identity, Justice, against Oblivion and Silence (HIJOS) they considered “absolutely reprehensible Larreta’s persecution of students and their families in struggle.”

“They talk to him about rights and he responds with the Police, for the same reason that the City intends to specify the use of portable batons (taser),” said the human rights organization.
