Attention to all units: Daddy Yankee would testify before the PDI after a businessman’s complaint against him

A few weeks ago it was announced that the Puerto Rican singer, Daddy Yankee, would have received a complaint from a Chilean businessman and this Monday it was confirmed that the artist will be summoned to testify before the Investigative Police (PDI).

It was the CEO of Empire Digital -a national event producer- Cristián Argomedo, who filed a lawsuit in 2018 since three scheduled concerts in Coquimbo, Concepción and Santiago would not have been fulfilled.

Argomedo’s legal representative indicated that “for reasons of professional ego, Daddy Yankee canceled the concerts and decided not to fulfill the artistic contract, nor return the 500 thousand dollars that had been paid to him as an initial sum”, assuring that the PDI will interrogate the singer in the next few hours, according to Meter.

Due to this, the company filed a civil suit for 3.6 million dollars, indicating that they had presented a false contract in English as evidence, with the purpose of having the Chilean justice declare him incompetent and refer him to Puerto Rico.

In addition, the document is accused of forging the signature of the person in charge of Digital Empire.

From the defense of the “Big Boss”, they pointed out that “the facts described only seek to instrumentalize the Judiciary and the Prosecutor’s Office to damage the image of the artist with a complaint without any legal basis, based on a judicial expert opinion that does not exist”, indicated the Daddy Yankee’s lawyer, Gianfranco Grattarola to the media already mentioned.

Adding that the judicial expertise “does not exist” and it would be a document paid for by the complainant herself “that was not taken into account in the civil case because it was recognized, by emails sent by the Chilean producer, that the contracts had been signed “.

It is expected that this Tuesday, September 27, the businessman who sued the singer will testify before the PDI, while Bizarro Live Entertainment clarified that the artist’s concerts scheduled for September 27, 28 and 29 will take place as planned.
